MR. PAUL KICHIAN ELECTED AS EXECUTIVE MEMBER OF WORLD COMMITTEE OF PAN ARMENIAN GAMES

On December 9, 2011, at the annual general meeting of the World Central Committee of the Hayastan Pan Armenian Games, Mr. Paul Kichian, a highly respected and renowned member of our community, was elected to represent Canada.

Mr. Kichian has served as chairman of the Montreal Coordinating Committee of the Pan Armenian Games since 1999. In his capacity as chair of the organising board, he has encouraged active cooperation between various sports organisations in the community.

Mr. Kichian served as Chairman of the AGBU Montreal Chapter from 1998-2004.  During his tenure, the AGBU center was completely renovated and expanded which in turn incited an increase in cultural and sporting activities.  Mr. Kichian is an active and dedicated member of the Montreal Armenian community and his tenacity and passion will surely propel the Canadian Chapter of the Pan Armenian Games Committee to new heights.

On this occasion, the AGBU Montreal Executive Board extends its congratulations to Mr. Kichian for his election to this prestigious position and wishes him and his committee success and continued achievements in their new role. The AGBU Montreal Executive Board also wishes to congratulate Mr. Hrant Bardakdjian from Toronto and Mr. Hratch Der Sarkissian from Montreal for their appointments as honorary members of the Hayastan Pan Armenian Games Central Committee.
