Upon the invitation of Her Excellency Anahit Harutyunyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Canada, a fabulous reception was held at the Armenian Embassy in Ottawa on the occasion of Armenia’s 28th anniversary of independence, in presence of diplomatic corps, representatives of Global Affairs Canada, dignitaries, Armenian church and organizations’ leaders and community members.
Ambassador Harutyunyan, in her remarks, thanked all the guests for being present. She emphasized on the excellent relations between Armenia and Canada, specially after the historic visit of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to Armenia in October 2018. Both countries cooperate closely within the Francophonie Organization.
The Ambassador urged all those present to engage in strengthening the bilateral ties between both countries.
On behalf of AGBU Canada, Chahé Tanachian congratulated the Ambassador and reiterated AGBU’s readiness in further developing ties between Canada and Armenia.
