The A.G.B.U. Scouts Marching Band was officially launched in the fall of 2006. It began with four students and one dedicated leader, Harout Tachejian. After all the years of performances and travels to Toronto in order to perform, our marching band has evolved into something extraordinary. Currently being run by Armen Toumassian and Nora Piloyan Kateb, along side the assistance of Maestro Artur Markosyan, the band now holds 20 students with the capability of performing with over 10 different instruments.
Throughout the years, the A.G.B.U. Scouts Marching Band has performed at countless events, such as Walk-a-thons, Independence days, tournaments, and also for the Armenian Genocide Commemoration in the heart of Montreal. They have also organized and performed at many events that profit the band, such as Christmas Dinners and an Armenian Music Night where they performed very historically important Armenian pieces. The A.G.B.U. Scouts Marching Band has truly come a long way from where it began and keeps on growing year after year due to all the support.
